About Guest Book Platters
A guest book platter is a ceramic plate that has been hand painted with a picture and text in a theme connected to a special event. The design of the platter as well as its border are completely customizable. The platter is delivered along with a special pen which guests use to sign their names on the remaining white area of the dish. It is then cured in a home oven which seals the design and signatures in such a way that it becomes a standard, decorated glaze-finish ceramic plate. Designs and Shapes Offered
Plates are available in five shapes: heart, square, round, oval, and rectangle. With the various sizes of these plates, the largest rectangular plate can accommodate the signatures of up to 200 guests

- Hand Painted Design: Guest Book Platters will hand paint a design, text and optional border onto the plate before shipping. - Complementary Ceramic Pen: Each plate comes with one special, black ink, guest book pen which must be used for the signatures. Extra pens can also be ordered, and it is suggested that this be done, especially when a large number of guests is anticipated. Additional ceramic pens are available in black, brown, dark blue, light blue, red, and green which can be incorporated to colorfully complement the overall design.

Precautions
Although most people choose to display the platters rather than use them, it is to be noted that once baked, the finished plate can be very carefully used to serve food. While the ink used in the pens is non-toxic, you cannot re-bake the platter. Doing so would damage the design causing the paint to brown and discolor. Take note as well that in choosing to use your platter, you must do so cautiously to protect it against scratches from serving utensils and abrasive actions. While it is suggested that the plates be gently washed by hand, an occasional trip through the dishwasher should not ruin them.

What Does the Package Contain?
