Do you have a personal statement that best describes you?
- I am a very intuitive healer with an open heart, a sense of humor and great listening skills who believes in the down to earth approach when connecting with people, making them feel comfortable and empowered.
Do you have a motto or favorite quote that guides you?
- "Of all earthly music, that which reached farthest into heaven is the beating of a loving heart." by Henry Ward Beecher.
When and how did you first discover you had the gift to help people?
- I don't believe I ever discovered it, it was always there, even as a young child. I was always extremely sensitive especially around people and situations. Seemed like I was always lending a hand whether to elderly people in my hometown or listening to people's stories no matter where I went. My dreams were always very numerous, colorful, clear and prophetic. From the time I was a little girl, I always had a fascination with Archangel Michael. It wasn't until I was older, that I actually understood it all.
- I grew up in an Irish French family on the Canadian border with French as my primary language. My family was very spiritual. Prayer was an important part of our everyday life. My Dad had a very strong connection with nature, art and with music. My Mom believed in home remedies, healers and dowsing. These were all part of her own heritage. Besides my parents, nature had a very strong influence as my teacher. After high school, I graduated as a registered nurse. I am certified in inpatient obstetrics. I have been a manager, a childbirth educator, and doula educator. My experience as a healer has helped me in establishing a holistic approach to birth in my clinical setting. Presently, I am actively coordinating a successful volunteer reiki program for cancer patients in both the outpatient and inpatient units of our hospital.
- I have been a reiki master/teacher since 1998. I am a certified Angel Therapy Practitioner® and certifed medium. Since, 2001, I have my own private practice where I actively teach classes, provide intuitive and angel readings, provide reiki treatments, do spiritual healings and angeltherapy(R) and a blend of other healing modalities. I am also a staff member for Dr. Doreen Virtue's ATP(R) programs. My favorites hobbies include time with my three beautiful teenage sons, skiing, camping, hiking, kayaking and music. I am in a women's chorus, called Animaterra and also a member of the Pathway Singers who sing at the bedside of terminally ill individuals.
How did you get started in this business?
- When I began learning reiki, I actually intuitively heard this voice telling me over and over again that I was meant to do healing work. I had the support of my family and wonderful friends. When I finally made the decision to do it, I was guided every step of the way without any difficulties thanks to Archangel Gabriel.
Do you have any advanced degrees or specialized training?
- I'm a Certified Registered Nurse, certified Medium, Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, certified Angel Therapy Practitioner®. I also have numerous experience as a speaker. My workshops are varied and numerous with an emphasis on psychic development and on healing.
Do you offer special services or insights that customers might find helpful?
- I have a very strong sense of the chakra system, its link to the underlying emotions and ways to help clear and balance the chakras. My work as a nurse has given me much insight re: the body and mind connection. Affirmations are very beneficial to assist in necessary changes on all levels. I frequently work with individuals awakening to their own spirituality and intuitive gifts. Spiritual healing seems to flow naturally through me. I am able to blend many different modalities in working with individuals. I frequently work with the fairies, so often, my readings come with a sense of humor.
Do you do any charity or non-profit work?
- In my own community, I have donated my time as a reiki practitioner at health fairs. There are several organizations that I support by donating gift certificates to help raise money for services especially those related to children and breast cancer. I am also a volunteer coordinator for the reiki program in our hospital and a volunteer for our community Hospice program where I sing in small groups at the bedside of dying individuals.
Why do you love what you do?
- What I love to do is to sit down and chat with people. I'm a great listener. It's not unusual for me, in my hospital job, to walk into a patient's room, sit down and just talk. When I work with someone in person in my private practice, I always set time aside to chat. It helps them to feel comfortable and helps me understand them better. I also love to teach. The Universe provided me with many spiritual teachers in my lifetime. I in turn believe in sharing what I have learned with others. There is an amazing amount of healing and empowerment that occurs through teaching. Music is my other love especially singing, dancing and listening. I use music in all my healing work. Many of my messages come in the form of music or phrases from songs.
What times are you usually available?
- My times vary from day to day. I am quite frequently available in the evening and mid to late mornings.
Do you have any other projects, books or multimedia that you'd like to inform us of?
- I am presently working on a guided meditation CD using the fairy angels. Hopefully, this will be done by end of the summer. I have also begun a deck of affirmation cards for pregnancy and birth.
