- 1 2 Travel was founded when Conor B. Buckley, Conor Buckley (no relation) and Cormac O'Neill returned to Ireland after four years working and studying in the United States. They set off on their return from Philadelphia, via a round the world trip booked through a travel agent in San Francisco, whom they had found on the Internet. Realising the potential for travel services over the Internet, the three set up an on-line travel company, on their return home, selling the country they knew and loved - Ireland. On 4th September 1998, Conor B, Conor and Cormac formed a limited company.
