Living History's 14th Rhode Island Program trains Providence high school students to reenact the history of the 14th Rhode Island Heavy Artillery, the state's black Civil War regiment. Students participate in reenactments, living history events and historical ceremonies and learn about the role of African Americans during the Civil War by becoming immersed in the life of a Black Civil War artilleryman.
