The Weekend revolves around the fact that the world’s first night football game was played by Mansfield University in Smythe Park on September 28, 1892. The Weekend gets started on Friday afternoon, September 25 and runs through the evening. Saturday kicks off with The Motorless Parade. Our parade has no motors. All rides are horse-pulled, people-pulled and event goat-pulled! Local folks, organizations and units from outside the area all join in for this parade in the old time tradition.
