Sir Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting, said, "Scouting is a game," and so it is. A game for boys, led by men, but a game with a very serious and important air. A boy joins a troop of Scouts primarily because he expects to have fun, so our game must be fun. As a result of the fun a boy has, he is exposed to men of character, dedicated to the idea of helping boys to grow into the best kind of manhood.
