- Stormchaser Inc. was formed in January 1997, in Cape Town, South Africa by Kevin M. Levey. A joint partnership with necessitated the formation of an online meteorological company. Weather forecasts have been offered since the inception of South Africa's very first weather site, the Cape Town Weather Watch, when Stormchaser Inc.'s Chief Meteorologist and CEO, Kevin Levey was still at the University of Cape Town's Oceanography Department, and the first official weather website commenced operation on 1 JANUARY 1995.
