Like many products with early beginnings, einszett (pronounced Inz- s edt ), was created by Werner Sauer Sr., who had a passionate belief that there could be a better product to maintain and enhance the appearance of the automobile. Mr. Sauer introduced in 1936, in the city of Köln, Germany, the first einszett paintwork polish and wax. Mr. Sauer stood apart from his competitors based on one simple philosophy that remains until this day as the cornerstone of einszett: produce a premium quality formula using the finest ingredients to produce the best results. Mr. Sauer named his successful formula einszett (translated as "1Z") based on the number-letter designation assigned to license plates registered in Köln.
