Educated with a vanguard group of filmmakers at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Lucas has over a dozen short form and feature-length films under his belt, including Awake (winner of Best Digital Short at the 2002 Georgetown Independent Film Festival) and Sustenance (winner of the audience choice award at the W.A.R.P. Film Fest in Durham, NC). Michael Lucas currently resides in Chapel Hill, NC, with his spoiled, inconsolable golden retriever, Sister Sunny Love.
