Lafayette Gun Club of Virginia Inc. was founded in 1948 as a private gun club and incorporated in the state of Virginia in 1949 The club was established to encourage organized firearms shooting and to develop individual marksmanship skills, with a view toward better knowledge in the safe handling and proper care of firearms. LGC fosters the development of patriotism, honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, self-reliance and personal responsibility.
