- Since its establishment in 1992 4th Line Theatre has never wavered from its founding mandate “to preserve and promote our Canadian cultural heritage through the development and presentation of regionally based, environmentally staged historical drama”. We have managed to bring no less than 14 new original works to the stage and in doing so have brought to life some very memorable (not to mention) very local heroes and heroines: Susanna Moodie, Ernest Thompson Seton, Justice of the Peace Patrick Maguire, The Great Farini, Joseph Scriven, Doc Logie and the men and women affected by the 1885 Riel Resistance to name just a few. In bringing these characters to the stage we have brought along with them, the lives and stories of the men and women of this region. And it is these stories, these people, which will remain the inspiration for our work in years to come. We are committed to continuing to bring to life the untold, undiscovered tales that make our local culture rich and interesting.
