The Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (ACBAR, is an umbrella organization representing over eighty NGO members from the national and international humanitarian community in afghanistan. ACBAR was created in 1988 in response to the demand from a number of aid agencies and their international donors for a coordinated approach to humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. Its activities focus on providing information to its members as well as the aid community in general, coordination of aid activities at the national and the regional levels as well as advocacy on issues affecting the work of its members in Afghanistan.
