- “A Friend Of Mine” will be lead by Leah Lywood and assisted by her family in day to day services where required. Leah takes great pleasure in working with seniors. She was a volunteer at Senior’s Luncheon's at the Lindsay Armories which unfortunately will be discontinued as of the end of May 2007. In the past she has taken care of her grandparents and elderly neighbours. Some other services offered are running errands, reminders of dates, appointments, and other times of importance, grocery shopping, and we now include computer repairs at very, very low rates. Our goal is to provide our services at competitive fees so that seniors and others with illnesses and require assistance may affordably do so. Leah desires to get involved with seniors as they are often neglected; are without family or for families that have very little free time. This would be the opportunity to provide this to the seniors in our community and make a difference in some of our senior’s lives. It would enable Seniors of our community to retain or get back that sense of independence they so often feel they have lost.
