Welcome to the AHIC Successor Website

Welcome. This AHIC Successor website contains information about the activities underway to establish a Successor to the American Health Information Community (AHIC). The team of LMI Government Consulting and The Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at the Brookings Institution, working under a cooperative agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services, is convening stakeholders to transition the nationwide focal point for health information interoperability from a government advisory group to a public-private organization. Our goal is an orderly transition that will maintain and even accelerate nationwide initiatives aimed at using information technology to enable improvements in the quality and efficiency of health care in the United States.
