Originally a Primary School teacher in the Wakefield area my hobby of painting overtook so in 1989 I began a full time career as an artist. We moved from Wakefield to Ripon and opened the North light Studio in Kirkgate in 1994 as a place to work and exhibit my paintings. We moved into larger premises at 19 Kirkgate in 2002 to expand the framing side of the business and expand into cross-stitch kits.
