AMRF, Inc., is a publicly supported, not-for-profit corporation.  It was established in 1994, with the assistance of the Alaskan Malamute Club of America, Inc. The purposes of the Foundation are to promote and facilitate health research that will benefit and help to ensure the continued survival of the Alaskan Malamute as a breed, and to educate the general public about hereditary and non-hereditary health conditions affecting the Alaskan Malamute.
