- History of A Special Touch
- After being in the upholstery business for ten years, working out of our basement, my husband Terry and I opened A Special Touch in December 1987 on Kenmount Road. Terry was the craftsman, and I was the one with the entrepreneurial spirit and together we focused on providing people with a "product" and "service" that fulfills their dreams and exceeds their expectations.
- Initially, A Special Touch was a furniture specialty store emphasizing accessories including tables, lamps, wall hangings, pictures and floral arrangements, which were very unique in style and design and caught the attention of anyone who came into our store.
- After two and a half successful years of business at that location, we decided to move.
