Allied Analogic, Inc.
Manufactures test equipment for telephone cable pairs, modem communications, and custom applicaions. The ATV-25 is a bulk or single pair test set for rapid testing of cable pairs for defects, pair recovery, telephone number retrieval, and automatic pair identification (also known as pair tagging). The ATV R/T works with the ATV-25 to complete a 100 pair remote automatic pair identification system. This system is capable of automatically scanning the cable pairs for a match or sending tone on any one pair remotely.
AALogic also manufactures the ADMpc, a modem data capture system that monitors and captures the data communication between two modem devices directly from the telephone line. This device is for professional use in developing and testing point of sale equipment, ATM communications, and more.
AALogic is introducing two new products for 2011. The TriTone and the CommBat.
The TriTone is a high-voltage tone generator for identifying telephone cables and cable pairs. The TriTone can generate 577Hz or 987Hz tone in one of five modes at up to 60V peak-to-peak and is compatible with most existing tone probes. The TriTone also incorporated a short detection feature that allows a user to verify the identification of a pair.
The CommBat is used as a talk circuit voltage source. A talk cicuit may be set up using headsets or butt sets on copper wire pairs of up to 32,000 feet. The CommBat is unique in that it adjusts the voltage output to ensure 10mA of current in the talk circuit. This is a tremendous benefit on long loops to ensure the talk circuit has plenty of signal on both ends.
