- The site was developed to meet an information need for Atlantic Canadians affected by breast cancer. The site is designed to link and showcase Atlantic Canadian breast cancer web sites and online information.
- ABCN was created, and is maintained, by Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia (BCANS) in consultation with interest groups from around the Province.
