WHAT IS THE BOARD?

The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology is an independent, non-profit organization that certifies obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States.

CERTIFICATION AND MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION

The ABOG examines and certifies nearly 1,700 obstetrician-gynecologists and subspecialists in maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology/ infertility and gynecologic oncology each year.

This Board also functions in cooperation with the Residency Review Committee for Obstetrics-Gynecology, and the Council on Resident Education for Obstetrics-Gynecology.
