The idea was from OnTheWeb - MarkDilley wanted to have an edit section link for each template, but that wouldn't work as the links edited the template, not the page they were in.

Create an extension which would be used as <AddSection/>. When used, the AddSection extension would increment the section number by one on the root page (by which I mean is the top-level page), regardless whether there is a section there or not.

Then, add a variable (if it doesn't already exist) called {{SECTIONNUMBER}} which would return the number of the section in which it was used of the top level page.

Then we could make a link like this:

[{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|action=edit}}&section={{SECTIONNUMBER}} edit]
