IFFGD, the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, is a registered nonprofit education and research organization founded in 1991. IFFGD addresses the issues surrounding life with gastrointestinal (GI) functional and motility disorders and increases the awareness about these disorders among the general public, researchers, regulators, and the clinical care community.
For those seeking to understand a GI disorder, IFFGD is a source of reliable information. We regularly publish information about different areas of GI health with up-to-date information on recognizing, diagnosing, treating, and living with gastrointestinal disorders. We offer a library of our own publications that contains nearly one hundred articles with information on a range of topics to help individuals or the families of those affected by GI disorders. Most of our articles are written for us by leading international experts in the field of GI health and research, many of whom serve on our advisory board.
We work closely with health care professionals and the medical and pharmaceutical industries. This cooperative effort places IFFGD at the forefront of care and research, helping us to aid and benefit those affected. We work with an international group of experts from multiple disciplines who serve on our medical advisory board. We provide a link between clinical research and patient care.
