- Climate
- In the Central Valley the mean temperature is 22ºC (72ºF). On the beaches and coastal areas the temperature varies between 21º- 32 ºC (70º -90ºF).
- -Lowlands with dry seasons: Almost the entire province of Guanacaste in the northwest and parts of the province of Puntarenas to the south endure high temperatures and a long dry season.
- -Temperate climate: Areas at altitudes between 1000 and 1500 meters (3000 and 5000 feet) above sea level, such as the Central Valley, maintain a rainy season beginning in the month of May through November and a dry season from December to April.
