- Acorn Furniture was started in 1998 with the ‘unique selling point’ of being able to take a much-loved tree in someone’s garden and return it to the owner as a beautiful piece of furniture. The piece is designed as a one-off, in conjunction with the customer, using ‘photo realistic’ pictures as an aid to visualising the design. The tree is carefully removed, planked and kiln dried before being built into a potential family heirloom. The customers are of course welcome to visit the workshop and follow the process as carefully as they wish.
