How did activefreemedia start?
After completing a documentary photography project at Duke University in 1999, Colin Mutchler was inspired to make media that effectively blended the active spirit of social responsibility with the free expression of music and art. What's the vision for activefreemedia?
activefreemedia envisions a participatory media marketplace, in which networks of citizens/consumers collaboratively produce and fund events and media campaigns that inspire culture, policy, and the economy toward responsibility and freedom.
