- T he B oard -- The new ACRA Board, consists of Rick Stevens of Payless Car Rental; Joe Knight of Fox Rent A Car; Frank Colonna of Triangle Rent A Car; Sharon Faulkner of Thrifty Car Rental of Albany, NY; Jim Shapiro, formerly of Payless & Americar and past ACRA/ACTIF president; Dick Radzis of Ace Rent A Car; and Neil Abrams of Abrams Consulting Group, who is the Interim Executive Director. They have been meeting via teleconference on a regular basis to establish the framework for the new association and chart a course for its future. The old ACTRA organization has been formally and legally dissolved. The new American Car Rental Association with a new logo and association tag line, "The Voice of the American Auto Rental Industry", has been formally incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in the District of Columbia, and the ACRA service mark has been registered.
