- Adlus (pronounced Atlas) was started in July 1999 by a bunch of gay adventurers who decided to form a sports group to promote sporting and outdoor activities in the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trangender) community. To this day, it remains committed to this cause as well as encouraging networking and fellowship among its members and the community.
