- Thank you for visiting adoptcharlotte.org. This website and ad campaign is dedicated to the fight against euthanasia in Mecklenburg County, where last year more than 13,000 animals were put to rest because we (the general public) didn’t know any better. Thanks to a collaboration between the Foundation for the Carolinas, the Humane Society of Charlotte, the CMPD Animal Control Bureau and smashcommunications – now we know better.
