At age 6 years I started to learn to play the Piano. I have been writing music for as long as I can remember. My dad would have preferred me to study law or medicine, but there was only one thing I wanted to do! I was educated at Stockport Grammar School where I won the Old Stopfordian's Lodge Music Prize. During this time I studied piano with David Smith at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. My studies continued at Colchester Institute.
