Excerpted from the website:
- AfanFM is Neath & Port Talbot's first ever dedicated local radio station. It was formed in March 2003 and after a lengthy campaign, was awarded one of the UK's first Community Radio Licences by Government Regulator Ofcom.
- This licence gives AfanFM the right to operate as a permanent radio station serving just the borough of Neath Port Talbot for at least the next five years.
- We aim to provide a radio station aimed primarily at young people aged 11-25.
