- In July 2003, with the initiative of Angelo delos Angeles, whom everybody calls Governor and who now serves as acting president of AFAP, the birth of the Association of Filipino-American Pelotaris came about. The idea of coming up with a name came by accident when he thought of having a website created for the group of pelotary players which he belongs to. His idea of having a website and creating a name was delightfully welcomed by his colleagues and with much enthusiasm, everybody gave inputs for the betterment of their website and the association as a whole and the rest they say is history.
