We publish books under the SUN PReSS and Rapid Access Publishers (RAP) imprint for the Academic & Reference and General markets respectively. As a University Press we publish high quality academic content – in electronic format as well as print-on demand. We also publish general titles and act as contract publisher for various clients and authors. We have also been involved in scanning, printing and binding of out-of print titles.
Editorial services
The unit has a network of trusted freelance editors, proofreaders and translators for our editorial processes. Our freelancers are experts in their specific field of service.
Graphic design
Our in-house and freelance designers work with a broad range of projects from book design, covers, posters, flyers, magazines and newspapers. We allocate designers to meet your specific needs.
Trading
We have our own online store (SUN-e-SHOP) where we have the capability to sell our products 24/7, around the globe – in electronic and print format. Our titles are also retailed through leading booksellers.
Course material
Our course material unit is the one-stop solution to all course material requirements. We take the burden off the academic staff by doing what we do best and allowing them to focus on their core functions of teaching, publishing articles and doing research. Our products include study guides, readers, course frameworks, hand-outs, workbooks and course packs. From copyright clearance to reproduction, we do it all.
Copyright services
We offer expert copyright services for course material and out-of-print titles. We handle the clearing process and also offer advice on copyright and intellectual property issues.
Digital re-production and printing
The unit offers high-speed scanning, digital reproduction (processing and packaging of existing printed source material) and digital printing, using the latest technology to bring you a fast and dependable service.
Binding and finishing
We offer a range of finishing services such as sorting, collating, cutting, trimming, wiro binding, perfect binding, punching, stapling and laminating.

Ons gee boeke onder die SUN PReSS en Rapid Access Publishers (RAP) drukname uit vir die Akademiese & Naslaan en die Algemene mark onderskeidelik. As Universiteits-uitgewer gee ons akademiese inhoud van hoogstaande gehalte uit in elektroniese formaat sowel as druk-op-aanvraag. Ons gee ook algemene titels uit en tree op as kontrakuitgewer vir verskeie klante en outeurs. Ons is ook betrokke by die skandeer, druk en bind van uit-druk titels.
Redaksionele dienste
Die eenheid het ’n netwerk van betroubare vryskut redigeerders, proeflesers en vertalers vir ons redaksionele prosesse. Ons vryskutwerkers is kenners op hulle spesifieke gebied van diens.
Grafiese ontwerp
Ons in-huis en vryskut ontwerpers werk met ’n wye reeks projekte insluitende boek ontwerp, omslae, plakkate, pamflette, tydskrifte en koerante. Ons wys ontwerpers aan om jou spesifieke behoeftes te bevredig.
Handel
Ons het ons eie aanlyn winkel (SUN-e-SHOP) waar ons die vermoë het om ons produkte 24/7 wêreldwyd te verkoop – in elektroniese of druk formaat. Ons titels word ook verhandel deur vooraanstaande boekwinkels.

Ons kursusmateriaal eenheid is ’n een-stop oplossing vir al jou kursusmateriaal behoeftes. Ons neem die las van akademici af deur te doen wat ons die beste doen en hulle toe te laat om te fokus op onderrig en publisering van artikels en navorsing. Ons produkte sluit in leesbundels, studiegidse, kursusraamwerk, uitdeelstukke, werkboeke en studiebundels. Van kopieregklaring tot reproduksie, ons doen dit alles.
Kopiereg dienste
