- Age Concern Cookstown is an independent local charity affiliated to Age Concern Northern Ireland, which is committed to promoting the rights of older people through campaigning and service provision.
- The organisation was founded in 1985 by a group of people from the Cookstown area who were concerned about the lack of community activities and services available for older people in the area.
- In 1989, the Age Concern thrift shop was opened. In 1992, Age Concern Cookstown started its first luncheon club with facilities that seated 25 people.
