- Allan L. Horvath Publications is a small publishing firm devoted to coffee-table books about Ohio, especially southwestern Ohio. These books focus on the natural and historical aspects of the region, with numerous photos from a variety of photographers. The firm was originally organized by siblings in Dayton as Allan L. Horvath Memorial Publications after Allan L. Horvath's death in 1983, in order to distribute the first edition of his book THE HILLS OF HOCKING. A geologist and award-winning photographer, Allan had written the text and supplied all the photographs for the Hocking book. Another brother, Eugene, a graphic artist, did the layout and arranged for the printing of this book under his own firm, Horvath Sculpture and Graphics.
