Excerpted from the website:
- Established in 1974, Accessible Housing Society (AHS) is a Calgary-based non-profit organization and registered charity with a mandate to create opportunities for safe, affordable, barrier-free housing for people experiencing mobility problems.
- The Society was created to help in the construction of the Fourth Dimension (4-D) group home. This home was created so that 12 physically challenged young people could live on their own. Care was provided by helping each person with transferring, dressing and bathing each morning and night.
