- We are the oldest Security Company with the same owner in the area. Ahwatukee Security was started in 1982 as the Crime Prevention Program for what was then simply called Ahwatukee. The founder, Mike Collins, started patrols of the area in high profile, marked security cars and uniformed security officers 24 hrs a day. This was to be deterrent as well as extra eyes to report criminal activity that may be witnessed to the Sheriffís Office. Ahwatukee was not yet in the City of Phoenix.
