- Prevention and education programs addressing unsafe sexual and drug use behaviors, in order to halt the spread of HIV and other STDs
- AIDS Delaware was started in 1984 by a concerned group of volunteer activists. Our first AIDS related porgram was the Buddy System - a program that matched people with AIDS with a volunteer "Buddy" who helped them with personal tasks such as errands, shopping, etc., and provided general emotional support.
- Since then, AIDS Delaware has grown into a professional nonprofit organization and is Delaware's largest and oldest AIDS service organization.
