- Aid Walungu is an initiative of the AAPK (Association for Aid to the Population of Kivu), a non-profit NGO (Non-governmental organization) , recognized by the Belgian State and active since 1967 in the Kivu
- The objective of the AAPK is to assist the population of the rural health care zone of Walungu , to improve their health and nutrition and to access better medical care and training. Walungu is 50 km. from Bukavu, in the region of the Great Lakes, South Kivu, in the D.R.
