- ABOUT US
- Alabama Christian Academy (ACA) was founded in 1942 as the Montgomery Bible School by Rex Turner, Sr., Leonard Johnson, and Joe B. Greer. The early school included a two-year college and elementary and secondary departments. When it first opened its doors, the school employed about five teachers and enrolled approximately twenty-three (23) students. The school operated on a small campus on Ann Street in Montgomery, Alabama as an integral part of the Bible School and subsequently, as Alabama Christian College and Alabama Christian High School and Elementary School after it relocated to a more spacious campus on the Atlanta Highway in 1965. When it was determined that the kindergarten through high school should be separated from the college, a Board of Trustees was formed, and Jerry Atkinson was hired as ACA's first President.
