- was founded in 1981 by Company Directors Anne & Gottlieb Braun-Elwert. In 1991 and 1994 Alpine Recreation was a finalist in the New Zealand Tourism Awards. After 24 years of operation Alpine Recreation continues to stay at the forefront of mountain guiding in New Zealand. Alpine Recreation is a member of the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand TIANZ and has Qualmark endorsement.
