- About Us
- Founded in 1941 by ski pioneer Ed Taylor and his wife Jo, the Alpine Sport Shop was purchased in 1964 by Thurlow and Dorothy Woodcock and is now run by their daughter Cathy and her husband Jack Hay.
- Thurlow designed and constructed the Alpine Sport Shop building in 1969 to create the ski lodge atmosphere and ambiance, with a massive stone fireplace and spacious, unique departments for alpine skis and boots, cross country equipment, men's, ladies' and children's winter fashions. A snowboard department was added in 1982 and given it's own identity - Al's Snowboards, in 1994.
