- I continue to read articles on digg and other sites stating that Skype can not be blocked or that it could only recently be blocked. Netspective, by Verso, is a webfilter I have been using for sometime. For the purposes of full disclosure it is important that I note that I am a customer of Verso but I in no way represent Verso. I am also a user of Skype, though the account showed below is a one time test only account. Over a year ago Verso released code to block Skype along with other types of applications.
