Altco was formed in 1992 by a small group of people from the Leeds and Wakefield areas. It was first known as the 'Annie Lane Theatre Company'. The first production was performed in March 1993 as part of The Wakefield Women's Festival funded by a small grant given by Wakefield M.D.
