We developed an interest in alternative and natural medicines and herbs after both parents were struck down with bowel cancer and we saw the limited options that mainstream medicine presented. We hoped this approach might help them while avoiding the side affects and damage often suffered by cancer patients who are only offered chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Many members of the medical profession will admit, off the record, that very often these treatment options frequently leave the patients in a worse condition than if they were to just let the disease take its natural course, but doctors feel they must offer some form of treatment. It is a shame that they continue, in most cases, to ignore the benefits of many natural therapies that have been helping people all over the world. Many of Europe's leading oncologists now use both western and alternative medicine, creating a holistic approach to treatment which has shown truly remarkable results in many cases. It is hoped that these approaches will become more widely accepted in time and significantly ease the often needless suffering that many families endure.
Interest in alternative medicine is growing rapidly, with more people now seeking the advice of natural practitioners than of MDs in both the U.S.A. and Australia. With ever increasing pressure from the public for a more holistic approach to health care and the desire for safer and more natural treatments, without the often dangerous side effects, it is the support of the public at large that will insure the industry expands to meet the needs of the people who want it.
This site is dedicated to my mother, Pamela, who lost her battle with cancer on September 14, 1994 and my father, Detmar, who fought until January 4th, 1999. It is through their inspiration, love, support and never ending positive outlook on life that this business was established. The fact that they outlived the specialists' predictions by about five years, and continued to live normal and comparatively healthy lives right up to their last few months is testament to their strength of character, love for their family and their belief in natural medicine.
