It does so by awarding fellowships to accomplished American citizens in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and public policy, as well as through programming and strategic partnerships with organizations in the United States and Germany. As such, the Academy provides a unique bridge between the two countries through the scholarship and creativity of distinguished individuals.
