- We have been Bobtail lovers and owned bobtail cats since 1979. My first bobtail cat I got as a teenager. I put a deposit down on one and my parents said I couldn't have it. They surprised me and went and got it for me and put it on my bed. I screamed so loud when I saw it I scared the poor thing. Her name was little mama she was gray and white and very much like a dog. Since than we have always had at least one bobtail cat.
