American Home Shield is a disappointment!
I purchased your service when I purchased my home. Now I need a heating part replaced. It has taken a week thus far and your technican reported at a time other than arranged. I raced home to see him, I was called and told he left. I have experienced the same problems as the others. AHS take our money and drag their feet on their services. We pay them and they have another contractor come out to try to do the work. I don't blame the contractors, because when they submit the estimate of the repair, AHS drag their feet on proving them with the money to do the repair. I have a stove that's just over a year old. The service tech told me when he first arrive that even if he fixed the stove would still have problems. The stove is electric and it shorted out. The repairman said that if he replaced the part that burnt out, we still would have problems because he was not sure what caused the shortage. He said, by the time he replaced the whole board, it would cost as must to replace the stove. AHS got upset because the repairman was honest and sent out another contractor. THat repairman said the same thing. My stove has been broken since Dec. 20, 2007 and now it's January 31, 2008. They are still saying that they are waiting for some part to fix the stove. To make a long story short, please don't buy their warranty.
I am waiting nearly another week for your tech. This is unsatisfactory! I should definitely be refunded my service fee!
When is this item to be repaired? Rude technicians and hapless staff at your offices, make me reluctant to use your service any longer.

I purchased this very sorry policy on my new home and they have refused to pay for a simple part for my ac. They mingle their words on the policy to provide loop holes when ou have a claim. DON NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY LEA STROUD MAYFLOWER ARKANSAS
You better read this contract before you buy but it will not matter they will deny your claim they should not be allowed to sell this very bad policy. It is worthless. Do Not purchase this policy you will be sorry
