- New York Road Runners (NYRR) is committed to changing the world for the better through running and fitness. Our crown jewel, the ING New York City Marathon, provides us an opportunity for positive impact in the lives of so many. This year, we are pleased to expand that impact beyond the runners in the race and the cheering fans around the world by introducing a new charity program to raise money for noteworthy causes.
- We have set aside a limited number of guaranteed entries for people wishing to run for charity, and who sign up to raise money for one of the marathon's two official charities (Team for Kids and Fred's Team), NYRR Special Charity Initiative, or one of several new marathon charity partners.
