The Academy was incorporated as a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization on January 8th, 1997. Founded by Dr. James E. Paul, Dr. Dorothy Klotzman, and Dolores Wells, the Academy joins the number of music training institutions in America which serve the special needs of gifted pre-college age musicians from 11 to 18. This specialized training is not available in traditional junior and senior high schools, community music schools, or colleges here.
