Ancilla Systems was created as a response by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ to an increasingly complex and rapidly changing healthcare environment. Establishing a healthcare system provided a strategic response to business challenges focused on sharing human and financial resources. Over time, constant turmoil in the healthcare environment and diminishing resources made it increasingly challenging for Ancilla provider organizations to deliver high quality cost effective services.

Because of these changing factors, Ancilla and the Poor Handmaids decided to build new relationships and find partners willing to share the commitment of the PHJC’s in the communities where they served.
